Corbet Curfman – Co-director, Chief Branding Strategist
The nexus of Design and Sustainability informs Corbet’s vision of the world. He has over a decade of expertise in design and marketing, from large-scale advertising campaigns to trade shows, direct marketing, digital communications, retail packaging and brand foundation tools like logos, collateral and websites. Corbet’s award-winning work spans a variety of industries including Non-Profit, Healthcare, Professional Services, Real Estate, Retail, Finance, Technology and Manufacturing.

Alexandra Steele – Co-director, Chief Marketing Officer
Alex brings over 20 years of professional experience working in marketing and business development for top-tier companies from Wall Street to Consumer Packaged Goods. She is channeling her professional skills towards developing and telling the stories of green heroes in design, building, consulting, clean tech, education and social enterprise arenas. One of her goals is to help prepare future business leaders to use holistic thinking that includes a triple-bottom line commitment.

Pamela Biery – Editorial Review + Content Development
Is a veteran communications strategist and freelance writer who specializes in shaping companies and non-profits through integrated brand stories and smart delivery systems. Consistently engaged in conserving and preserving wild places, Pamela has contributed her voice to regional, state and national conservation efforts, including Oceana, the Sierra Club, Coastwalk, Sierra Nevada Conservancy and the Sierra Fund. Pamela divides her time between the Pacific Northwest and Northern California.

Priyanka Bandyopadhyay – Project Manager
Priyanka is a “jack of many disciplines”, with an enduring passion for designing and bringing to market, innovative, technology-driven products that also serve a strong social and/or environmental mission. She is currently launching an interactive digital media-based health education venture aimed at youth in India. With degrees in engineering, MBA, and MS in energy systems, she has previously worked in healthcare IT and in various sectors of the energy industry. When not engaged in the development of startups, Priyanka can be found enjoying stories in cultural anthropology, tending to her veggie garden, and touting the health benefits of yoga.

Mia Cooledge – Social Media Intern
After a high school teacher inspired her interest in environmental issues, Mia chose to enroll in the Environmental Analysis program at Scripps College in Claremont, California. The program, which shares resources with the other four Claremont Colleges, has a number of tracks relating to almost all possible environmental issues. Mia chose to take the Environmental Physics and Engineering track in order to pursue her goal of designing more sustainable practices that can easily be adopted in our everyday lives.

Gene Homicki - Web + Social Media Platform Strategy
With over 18 years of experience, Gene has been providing technology strategy, software architecture, web site development, and technical project management solutions to organizations that include universities, non-profits, government and Fortune 100 companies. He combines his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for exploring the intersections of sustainability, science and technology to help find whole systems solutions to the critical issues facing businesses and society.

Derek Hoshiko- Strategic + Business Development
Derek is the co-founder and project manager at Web Collective, Inc. He was an honorarium professor at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. After moving to the Seattle area in 2004, he became an Open Source web developer and an advocate of local living economies. Derek believes strongly that business can be successful while infused with values. He strives to create lasting change in himself and in the groups and organizations he touches, through daily practices aimed at increasing consciousness in every action.

Carol Shaw- Advisor
After 20 years as a financial editor and equity analyst working with top-tier investment companies specializing in energy and transportation technology, Carol’s career evolved towards a focus on driving sustainable solutions. She is President of Eye Intellect, a start-up Seattle-area company specializing in clean energy innovations. She is committed to philanthropy as an agent of change and is Vice Chair of the WA Women’s Foundation Grants Committee.

Lydia Shearer- Social Media + Market Research Intern
Well-versed in a variety of social media platforms, Lydia has a deep passion for sustainability and spends much her time identifying and researching quality green education programs. As a college student herself, she wants to help create a community of like-minded youth who will share their experiences in education and their thoughts on balancing the economic, social and environmental needs of future generations.

Devon Snyder – Social Media + Market Research Intern
Devon is currently entering her sophomore year at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she is pursuing a major in Environmental Studies with a minor in English. Lewis & Clark College is breaking ground with a new term, EcoCampus, putting the best practices in place through clean energy, conservation and cultivation of renewable resources. Devon is looking forward to using her degree to advocate for sustainable lifestyles and green education and is particularly interested in city-planning and environmental journalism.
