Summary
Founded in 2002, Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI) offers MBA and Certificate programs with the goal to “infuse environmentally and socially responsible business innovation into general business practice by transforming business education.” BGI is considered one of the pioneers in innovative graduate programs designed to create change agents and bring insightful leadership into the new economy.
Program
BGI is a private school offering 2- or 3-year hybrid MBA, evening MBA, and Certificate programs. Hybrid Program: Runs three quarters, Fall-Spring; weekly online distance learning class sessions and three weekend intensives at the campus. Evening Program: Runs all four quarters, Fall-Summer; weekly face-to-face class meetings. In addition to the MBA programs offered, BGI also offers a Certificate program in Sustainable Business. Credits earned in the certificate program can be transferred to the MBA programs.

BGI has locations in Seattle and on Bainbridge Island, which is a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle.
Enrollment
About 200 students per year are enrolled in BGI programs.

Tuition program costs as of 2010, hybrid 2-yr Program: $60,785; hybrid 3-yr Program: $66,170; evening program: $53,555. Financial aid and grants are available.

Student life
BGI’s high-caliber faculty offers real-world experiences with a passion for sustainability. Through shared classes and projects, students bond closely and carry a tight network into the regional business world. The Alumni Association is going to launch a newsletter in 2010. Their primary aim is to support the Alumni of BGI in finding jobs and furthering their sustainable careers.
